Spot-on post by Big Stupid Guy regarding a boo-hoo article in the Washington Post yesterday about the effects of a long-overdue crackdown (at least on a local level) on illegal immigration.
The difference, Eduardo, is that the Italian and Irish immigrants of yesteryear came with empty pockets, but not outstretched, expectant hands…..
We Americans are sorry that your American Dream has been dashed, Eduardo. But most of us are sick of buying that dream for you, making our own respective American Dreams that much less affordable. You looked out for yourself and your family – and only yourself and your family – as you cross that border, so why do you fault us for doing the same?
