Hey Patty….birthday party looks like lots of fun!! I used to love those parties when my kids were little. Now they invite friends over for their birthday, but they lock themselves in the basement or their bedroom and I only see them when they emerge for food. Enjoy the good times while they last!!

Thank you for the beautiful tribute and bringing us Susan’s story. How heartbreaking that she didn’t want her daughter to end up like her, without a Mom. This reminds us of how much we lost on 9/11. Today I honor two first responders, Sgt. John Coughlin, NYPD and Lt. Edward D’Atri, FDNY.

Thanks, Eva. My words are inadequate in the face of what was lost that day, but we need to remember and celebrate the lives that were so senselessly taken.

Actually, I think it *is* “build me up, buttercup”…but is one of those oft mis-heard lyrics. It’s labeled “fill me up” on YouTube, but I think if you listen closely they are singing “build.” I’m going to change my post title because now it’s gonna bug me to leave it

Enjoy every minute–The good and the bad! I always told my six kids to stick together because they would need each other when their Dad and I are gone. Now it is such a blessing to see them all coming to the house together and when they each give me a big hug I know what heaven is like! You are truly blessed!
